Step into the Cage with EA Sports UFC mobile for Android and iOS

#

It’s a good time to be a fan of mobile sports games, and we’ve gotten some great ones in the past 6-months. You can add one more to that list, and it’s a game that will suck every ounce of your free time away. EA Sports UFC mobile has finally come out of its soft-launch phase, and it widely available to download from the Play Store.

EA Sports UFC mobile isn’t a dumbed down version of last year’s console game, let’s just get that out of the way. It’s a full-fledged MMA game shrunken down for our mobiles, and it comes complete with spinning backfists, flying knees, and more submissions than you can shake a stick at.

We’re not going to delve too deep into the control setup, but EA Sports UFC mobile is geared for everyone and is simple to play. Everything is tap or swipe-based, and your special moves come on ‘cards’ or sorts than can be used when the time is right. Whether you’re on your feet or with your back to the mat, it’s easy to get the hang of things.

Not only is EA Sports UFC mobile easy to play, it’s also very deep. You can play with multiple fighters from each weight class, and unlock more as you progress through the game. There is a crate-based system that allows you to pick up additional moves (and fighters) with coins earned in the game or you can pick up coin packs or crates outright. Nothing new in the IAP department, but you shouldn’t have to pay to play.

EA UFC Mobile is a game I’ve spent a lot of time with over the past few months, as I’ve been playing it since the soft-launch. I’m not sure what has changed with the wide release (if anything), but if they don’t monkey around with the IAP setup, it’s a game you’re going to spend a lot of time with. It’s the best looking sports game on mobiles, and highly recommended if you dig MMA or the UFC. If you’re ready to rumble, you can pick up EA Sports UFC mobile for free on Google Play or the App Store.

This game is garbage it costs $60 to unlock jon jones. If you want to unlock the whole roster it will be over $1000. The card system is ridiculous, I have gone 10 fights without the possibility of attempting a takedown. You get no opportunity to defend submissions if one is attempted you automatically lose. You can’t move or dodge strikes at all. The number of problems is unbelievable.
