Sky Sports app for iPhone receives update

#

Whether you’re a supporter of Man Utd, Liverpool FC or Chelsea, an England cricket team follower, or an F1 fan, you have one thing in common and that’s a love of sport. Sky Sports has one of the most popular sports apps available, and the Sky Sports app for iPhone has received an update today.

This app has a host of features and offers users information for all the major sporting events as they happen. You’ll get the latest breaking sports news, videos, live scores, fixtures, results, tables and standings for your favourite teams and different sports. The Sky Sports app provides in-depth stories, articles, galleries, and more, and just some of the sports it covers are football, cricket, rugby, golf, tennis, boxing, Formula One, and a whole lot more.

You’ll also be able to access exclusive video from the Sky Sports News HQ studio, with interviews and reaction to the latest breaking stories. App users who already have the Sky Sports app on Sky or Virgin Media can also watch Sky Sports 1 to 5, Sky Sports F1, and Sky Sports News live. For this feature you’ll need to sign in with your Sky ID or account number and be in the UK or Ireland. Alternatively you can purchase a monthly subscription for the Sky Sports News HQ channel.

Sky Sports app for iPhone

The iOS version of the Sky Sports app is free and was updated version 5.1 today. It’s available at iTunes and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later. (Please note that following today’s update the app no longer supports iOS 6). This update responds to feedback from app users, bringing changes and improvements. There will be even more news as it happens, with more images, media, and video, Today notifications, and Sky Bet integration, as well as bug fixes.

We’ll point out that the Sky Sports app is also available from Google Play for Android devices, though this has not been as recently updated. If you haven’t yet delved into the delights of this app it’s worth remembering that it’s free so you have nothing to lose. Are you going to download the Sky Sports app today?
