The Oppo R7 smartphone was made official ten days ago and although we had pricing for the phone in China, the prices for other markets had not yet been announced. If you’ve been waiting for news on availability of this phone in the UK we have some good news for you, with details of the Oppo R7 price and pre-orders for the UK.

Going by the Chinese pricing of the phone we gave an approximate indicator of around £260 for the UK, and it turns out that was very close. The Oppo R7 is now up for pre-order on Amazon UK for £259 with free delivery. The giant retailer lists it for a release on July 21st, with a caveat that the date could change.

For that money the Oppo R7 offers a Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor (four cores at 1.5GHz and four at 1GHz), Adreno 405 GPU, and a 5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 445 ppi. It has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD to 128GB).

Camera capabilities include a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p video capture, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 2320 mAh battery featuring VOOC rapid charge, and features 4G LTE connectivity. The Oppo R7 runs the Android-based Color OS v2.1. It’s a nicely slim handset and dimensions of the phone are 143mm x 71mm x 6.3mm and it weighs 147g.
