Lenovo Vibe Shot reaches US availability

#

We first saw the Lenovo Vibe Shot when it was shown off at MWC in March and in May the company announced pricing and a release date for China. It wasn’t clear when this camera-centric smartphone would arrive for other regions, but if you’re in the US there’s some good news for you today. The Lenovo Vibe Shot has reached US availability where it is now on sale through Amazon.

Just yesterday we told how Amazon is now selling the Sony Xperia C4 even though it hasn’t been officially launched stateside. However, the version being sold isn’t compatible with LTE bands for the US. That’s the same story with the Lenovo Vibe Shot being sold on Amazon, which might rule this choice out for some. If you’re not bothered about LTE connectivity though you might still want to opt for this phone.

The Lenovo Vibe Shot (Z-907) is up for grabs on Amazon with an unlocked price of $380 in the black color. When it released in China it was priced at CNY 1,799, equivalent to around $290, so as well as the lack of LTE the price is also steeper than some will have expected. However, the pricing is still reasonable for a phone such as this.

For the money you’ll get a smartphone that has a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage (expandable). The phone has a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and tri-color LED flash, 8-megapixel front-facing snapper, and a 3000 mAh battery. It runs the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

As far as the design and build is concerned it’s a sleek looking handset using metal and glass. Have you been waiting for a chance to snap up the Lenovo Vibe Shot? Let us have your comments.
