There are plenty of smartphone buyers in India who admire Panasonic handsets, and the company has just announced another device today. We have details ahead of the Panasonic Eluga Z price and specs from the launch. This is a good-looking phone that should appeal to plenty of consumers.

Earlier this month we reported on the launch of the Panasonic P55 Novo, and the new Eluga Z is a more expensive handset. It has a metal frame and stylish finish and the Panasonic Eluga Z price is Rs. 13,490. Buyers will also receive some free extras, a transparent case, screen guard, and leather flip cover. This new smartphone will be available in a choice of colors, Midnight Blue, Champagne Gold, and Ivory White.

Specs of the Eluga Z include a 1.4GHz octa-core processor, a 5-inch AMOLED display with resolution of 1280 x 720, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, expandable with microSD to 32GB. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1080p video capture, a 5-megapixel front-facing unit, and a 2050 mAh battery.

The Panasonic Eluga Z runs the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and is a dual SIM handset. Connectivity includes 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG. The handset measures 141.3mm x 70.6mm x 6.85mm, so it’s extremely slim, and it weighs 120g. It also offers FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack.

Features include Smart Swipe, gesture-based functions, the FitHome interface, and regional language support. There’s also an options for single-handed use. At the launch Panasonic India, Mobility Division Business Head Pankaj Rana said,

“At Panasonic, we believe in incorporating features in our devices which cater the customers demand. In line with this, we have come up with our new CNC grinding based metal device with Fabric textured back which supports features like connectivity to Pen-drive & Indian regional language support.”
