Intex Aqua Y2 Power launched in India for Rs. 4,490

#

Intex is bringing a new smartphone to India, and it’s another handset from the company’s Aqua lineup. The Intex Aqua Y2 Power falls squarely into the mid-range sector but has a bit of extra juice as the Power moniker implies.

The Intex Aqua Y2 Power has shown up online with a price tag of Rs. 4,490 and mid-range specs. That means we are looking at a small 4-inch panel with a resolution of 480 x 768, and a 1.2GHz quad-core chip backed by 512MB of RAM. The storage capacity is listed at 4GB, but expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card so you won’t have to rely on the cloud straight out of the box.

In the connectivity department, the Intex Aqua Y2 Power will provide users with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, and Dual-SIM card slots. The front-facing camera is listed at 2MP while the rear snapper clocks in as a 5MP camera with an LED flash. With measurements of 126mm x 64mm x 10.5mm it won’t be the thinnest handset around, but it will have a large 2,900mAh battery. Last but not least is the OS, which is listed as Android 4.4.2.

The Intex Aqua Y2 Power is already listed on the company’s official site along with a full rundown of the specs. The Intex Aqua Y2 Power price of Rs. 4,490 shakes out to around €64/$70, so it’s definitely affordable if you can deal with the limitations under the hood. The Y2 Power will be ready to roll soon, and will be available in Black, Blue and White when it arrives.
