Doogee Y100 Plus price and specifications announced

#

The folks at Doogee have just announced another handset in the Doogee Y100 Plus. The name may sound familiar, as it’s a larger version of the company’s previously released Doogee Y100 Pro.

Earlier today we told you about a variant of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 headed to India, and now we’re going to take a look at another variant in the Doogee Y100 Plus. As the name implies, it’s a larger version of the company’s Y100 mid-ranger, but with better specs and an extremely cheap price tag.

The Doogee Y100 Plus is said to look like the regular version of the Y100, but will sport a 5.5-inch panel with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 in place of the 5-inch panel found on the Y100. It will be powered by a MediaTek MT6735 processor, and it has a 13MP rear snapper to go along with an 8MP front-facing camera. The battery is listed at 3,000mAh, and it’s safe to assume it will run Android out of the box.

Details are still murky regarding the Doogee Y100 Plus release, but it’s said to arrive in September. As for the price, $125.99 is what you’ll need to shell out to pick up the Y100 Plus which makes it an attractive option if those specs live up to the billing.

Shame for the processor, too weak. Luckily there is the UMI Rome which is cheaper and has a nice 5.5 AMOLED screen, octacore mt6732 and 3gb ram at an even lower price point… after all the problems with their recent models and batteries, that’s another great reason to steer away from them!

Really looking for this product, I’ve also read that has metal finishing
and a thickness which is less than 8mm… along with the great
processor, ram and the amoled screen, it’s incredible how such a product
can be offered for so low!

An appealing feature for me will be frontal flash led, since I’d like to buy it as a present to my girl which loves to have selfies also when light is low. Sounds like a great deal for the price.
