Philips S309 and Philips Xenium I908 are launched for India

#

It’s been a while since we’ve covered a handset from Philips, but the company has just launched two new devices today. The Philips Xenium I908 and Philips S309 have been announced for India and they are priced competitively for the region.

First up is the budget friendly Philips S309 with its 4-inch TFT display and a resolution of 480 x 800. The power is provided by a 1GHz dual-core processor, which is backed by 512MB of RAM. As for the storage, you’ll get 4GB, but thankfully it’s expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card. Other specs include a 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, dual-SIM connectivity, and a 1,600mAh battery.

The Philips Xenium I908 is a bit bigger and badder than the S309 as it has a 5-inch FHD panel and an octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor clocked at 1.7GHz. The RAM is listed at 2GB, and the (expandable) storage capacity gets a nice bump up to 16GB. On the backside of the Philips Xenium I908, you’ll find a 13MP sensor while a 5MP snapper will take care of your selfies. All the usual connectivity options are present along with dual-SIM, 3G, and A-GPS. The I908 will get its juice from a 3,000mAh battery and run Android 4.4 just like the S309.
