Samsung Galaxy Mega On specs confirmed through Benchmark leak

#

We go through more smartphone leaks each week than you can shake a stick at, but it’s always nice to get some confirmation. The Samsung Galaxy Mega On specs leaked earlier this week alongside the Galaxy Grand On, and today we’ve gotten a look at its benchmark listing.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega On and the Grand On are set to begin another smartphone line from Samsung and to be honest, they are nothing to get excited about unless the design is something special. Both handsets have are similar, but now we can confirm the Galaxy Mega On specs thanks to a new benchmark listing on AnTuTu.

The device shown in the benchmark’s has the model number SM-G6000 and is listed running Android 5.1.1. The chip powering the show is a 64-bit Snapdragon 410, which is backed by 1GB of RAM and the storage capacity is the usual low-end offering of 8GB. There’s no mention of a microSD card slot, but we’ll assume they are going to include one.

The rear camera of the Galaxy Mega On will make use a 13MP sensor while the front-facing camera is listed at 5MP. Unfortunately, that’s where the well runs dry as the only other specs mentioned was the display resolution of 1,280 x 720. That said, everything lines up with the previous leak aside from the RAM which was mentioned as being 1.5GB. The rest of the rumored Galaxy Mega On specs are said to include a 3,000mAh battery and a 5.5-inch display.

As mentioned, unless Samsung does something special with the design, we can’t see any reason to get excited about the Samsung Galaxy Mega On or the Grand. It’s basically another variant of a variant although it could be a handset bound for certain markets and not a wide release.

Do you think Samsung is overdoing it with all their product lines?
