OnePlus Mini specs surface along with a possible price

Aside from a few stragglers, we’ve seen the majority of the flagships for this year, but there are plenty of mid-rangers set to arrive. The OnePlus mini is rumored to be one of them, and today a new rumor has surfaced that may shed a little light on the OnePlus mini specs and pricing.

Before we get started, you’ll want to take these OnePlus mini rumors with a dose of salt. They hail from an anonymous source that wrote into GforGames, and while they sound about right, it’s far from a Benchmark listing. They are also said to be from a prototype a few months old, so it’s possible some things could change before primetime.

According to the new rumors, the OnePlus mini will feature a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. That panel is of the 2.5D variety and will be covered in Gorilla Glass with hydrophobic and oleophobic coating. The chip powering the show is said to be the MediaTek Helio X10 which will be backed by 2GB of RAM. As for the storage, you’re looking at 32GB with a microSDXC slot if the rumors pan out.

The backside of the OnePlus mini won’t have a dual-camera setup like the renders and some of the previous rumors have shown. Instead, you’re looking at a 13MP Sony IMX258 on the rear while a 5MP front-facing camera will handle the selfies. Other options include NFC for Android Pay, a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C charging, and a 1.2w front-facing speaker. The battery will be around 3,100mAh and you’ll get the IP57 water & dustproof tag to boot.

We’re still not sure what the OnePlus mini will look like, but their sources say it will have a plastic shell that can be swapped out if you want to freshen your handset up a bit. The OnePlus mini price is rumored to set you back $250 and is expected to launch in November or December of this year.

Would you be interested in the OnePlus mini if the specs and price are legit?
