Huawei Enjoy 5 announced with 2GB of RAM and 4000mAh battery

#

Towards the end of last month the Huawei Honor 5X reared its head through the certification process. Today the phone is official as the Huawei Enjoy 5, and it’s the latest handset to offer up solid specifications for rock bottom price.

Last year, we saw a lot of manufacturers try and outdo each other with flagships, and while that hasn’t changed, 2015 has been all about the mid-range. The Huawei Enjoy 5 is one of the latest smartphones to take on the mid-range sector, and after getting a look at the specifications, we think you’ll agree that $157 bucks is a pretty nice price.

The Huawei Enjoy 5 features a metal build with measurements of 143.1mm x 71.8mm x 9.7mm. It’s not the thinnest smartphone around, but there’s a good reason for that. The handset is powered by a large 4,000mAh battery, which in turn powers the 5-inch 720p panel and quad-core MediaTek MT6745 processor.

As for the storage, the Huawei Enjoy 5 will give you 16GB (expandable) to work with and the RAM is listed at 2GB, so it’s squarely in the mid-range. That said, the rear snapper is above average at 13MP while the front-facing camera uses a 5MP sensor. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Dual-SIM support are present as well along with 4G LTE. The Huawei Enjoy 5 will run EMUI 3.0, which is based on Android 5.1.

As you can tell by the Huawei Enjoy 5 specs, it’s not in the flagship class but far above the entry-level smartphones we see released daily. At the moment, there’s been no word on an international launch, but we’ll keep you in the loop if it goes global as the smartphone should be popular with price tag that equates to €138/$157.

Would you like to see the Huawei Enjoy 5 come to your region?
