HTC Desire 728G price tipped for India launch

#

In early September the HTC Desire 728 was launched in China and we wondered if it would hit other regions. Now it’s reported that a variant of the phone is on the way for India, and the HTC Desire 728G price has been tipped for the India launch. Whereas the Desire 728 for China supported 4G LTE, the HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM is thought to be a 3G smartphone.

This dual SIM phone is said to be coming with dual GSM SIMs or an option with GSM + CDMA. Specifications of the HTC Desire 728G dual SIM include a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor, Mali-T760 graphics, and a 5.5-inch display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720. It has 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 200GB), and a 2800 mAh battery.

Further specs of the HTC Desire 728G include a 13-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, f/2/2 aperture, LED flash, and 1080p video capture, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with BSI sensor, f/2.8 aperture, and 1080p video recording capability. Connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. The phone also has FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Features of the Desire 728G Dual SIM include BoomSound with dual front stereo speakers and Dolby Audio. The phone runs the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with HTC’s Sense UI. It measures 157.9mm x 77.8mm x 7.87mm and it weighs in at 153g. The specs vary a little from the Desire 728 for China that had 2GB of RAM and 4G LTE connectivity as mentioned earlier.

Mahesh Telecom states that the HTC Desire 728G price will be Rs. 17,990 and touts it on Facebook as a “World Phone.” The price tallies very nicely with a price indicator for India that we gave from the price of the Desire 728 in China. The phone will be available in grey or white colour choices. There’s no news yet on an exact availability date but the retailer states that it’s “coming very soon.”
