Archos 70 Neon Plus listed for India at Rs. 6,999

#

Archos hasn’t released as many devices as other manufacturers, but we’ve covered plenty of their products this year. The Archos 70 Neon Plus is a new slate that’s bound for India, and it has just shown up online for Rs. 6,999.

You can’t throw a rock without hitting a budget-friendly slate in India, and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. The Archos 70 Neon Plus specs show a tablet that definitely fits that mid-range mold, so you’ll get a 7-inch panel with a resolution of 1,024 x 600. Beneath the slab of glass, you’ll find a quad-core chip Rockchip RK3126 clocked at 1.3HGz and backed by 1GB of RAM.

The storage capacity for the Archos 70 Neon Plus is listed at 8GB, but thankfully you can kick it up by an additional 32GB through a microSD card slot.  You’ll be able to snap photos courtesy of an 0.3MP sensor on the back and a VGA camera on the front; just don’t expect them to be the sharpest. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and the usual suspects. The Archos 70 Neon Plus will sip its power from a 2,800mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 out of the box.

If the Archos 70 Neon Plus looks like your cup of tea, it should be available to purchase soon in the region. The slate is priced at Rs. 6,999 which shakes out to around $104/€98 depending on where you reside.
