Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge specs leak points towards incremental upgrade

#

Samsung is set to release its new flagship and a slew of variants in the next few months, and today the rumor mill kicked into overdrive. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge specs have surfaced along with the regular model and if the leak is legit, Samsung fans will be getting a solid upgrade this year.

A lot of rumors appear on Weibo, and that is the case today with the rumored Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge specs. The regular Galaxy S7 specs are shown as well, but both smartphones are essentially the same with the large curved display being the differentiating factor. That has generally been the case with the Galaxy S lineup lately, and the trend looks to continue in 2016.

According to the leak, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge specs show a 5.5-inch QHD panel with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440. As expected, the Exynos 8 Octa 8890 is listed as a possible processor along with a Snapdragon 820 variant. There is 4GB of RAM under the hood and while the storage capacity is listed at 32GB or 64GB the microSD card slot may make a comeback. A 21MP and 3,600mAh battery round things out and the regular Galaxy S6 specs are identical aside from a smaller 3,000mAh battery.

As always, you’ll want to take these Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge specs with a dose of salt although they seem about right as we only expected a basic upgrade this year after the design changes in 2015. That said, there will probably be at least 3-4 more versions of the Galaxy S6, so consumers should have plenty options to choose from.
