Sony unveils the Pink Xperia Z5, launches in February

#

While we’ve seen plenty of rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S7, we haven’t heard nearly as much about the Sony Xperia Z6.That said, the company isn’t quite done with the Z5 lineup as they have just announced a Pink Xperia Z5 for the masses.

Manufacturers have plenty of tricks in their playbooks when it comes to extending the life of an existing product. In the smartphone world, variants are a popular way to go and that’s what Sony is doing with the Pink Xperia Z5 release. On the inside, it’s the same smartphone we got to know last year, but with a new coloring that’s sure to attract some attention.

The Pink Xperia Z5 features a light “dusky pink” hue with the same frosted glass finish found on the previous models. While the color won’t be for everyone, they did a good job with the shade as it’s not too loud and is easy on the eyes. As it’s the same as the original on the inside, you can also look forward to a 64-bit Snapdragon 810, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 23MP/5.1MP camera combo, and a 2,900mAh battery.

Sony hasn’t spilled the beans on the Pink Xperia Z5 release date, but they’ve said to expect it in February which is only a few weeks away. Pricing and availability is up in the air as well, but we expect to hear something official soon.

What do you think of Sony’s new color for the Xperia Z5?
