Coolpad Max released with Snapdragon 615 and 3GB of RAM

#

Coolpad isn’t a brand we’ve covered as often as others on our site, but that’s slowly changing thanks to devices like the Coolpad Max. The metal-clad handset doesn’t have the brand-name power of a Samsung or Sony, but it does have some cool features we think you’ll be very interested in.

Last week, we covered device called the Coolpad Note 3 Lite, which quickly grabbed our attention due to features like a fingerprint scanner. The Coolpad Max is keeping several of the bells & whistles found on the previous model while still keeping the price manageable as it’s only going to set you back 2,499 Yuan if you reside in the region… or a bit more if you’re looking to import.

Coolpad kept things in the phablet range with the Coolpad Max, so you’re looking at a 5.5-inch smartphone with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 and the popular 2.5D glass panel. A speedy 64-bit Snapdragon 615 will keep the light on with some help from 3GB of RAM while the storage capacity is listed with options of 16GB or 32GB. Other options to note include a Dual-SIM setup that allows for a single SIM and a microSD card or two SIM cards, 4G LTE, a fingerprint scanner, and a 13MP/5MP camera combo. The Max is listed with a 2,800mAh battery and runs Android out of the box.

Most of Coolpad’s devices are only available in China, and that’s the case with the Coolpad Max. The smartphone is already listed for sale in the region for 2,499 Yuan or $380 if you’re looking to import one from a third-party retailer.
