#

The Oppo Find 1 is a smartphone that was announced at CES 2016 earlier this month. We were expecting that the device would arrive on sale in India soon, but today we were surprised when the Oppo Find 1 Plus was introduced at the India launch of the Oppo F1. Coming right up we have the price and specifications of both handsets.

We’ll begin with the regular Oppo Find 1, which will be available from February 1st in 8 cities across India. It will be offered in Golden or Rose Gold color choices, and the Oppo Find 1 price in India is Rs. 15,990. It runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Oppo’s Color OS 2.1, and is a hybrid dual SIM phone (micro + nano/microSD). The handset measures 143.5mm x 71mm x 7.25mm and weighs 134g.

Specs of the Oppo F1 consist of a Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor (four cores at 1.5GHz and four at 1.2GHz), Adreno 405 graphics, and a 5-inch IPS display with HD resolution protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4. It packs 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 128GB), and has a 2500 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.

This camera-centric smartphone has a 13-megapixel sensor rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, LED flash, and 1080p video capture. The highlight for selfie lovers is likely to be the 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1/4” sensor. The front-facing unit has various software features such as 8 live color filters, and Beautify 3.0. Snaps in low-light conditions are also improved as the screen can be used as a flash light.

Oppo F1 Plus

Now we’ll move on to the newly announced Oppo F1 Plus. This is expected to be available in April and the Oppo F1 Plus price will be Rs. 26,990. While some of the specs of the Plus version are the same as for the standard F1 there are some key differences. For example is has a larger 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution, and steps up to 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Oppo says that the Oppo F1 Plus will also have a more sophisticated camera at the front. However, so far the company has not given specific information about this, or announced the battery capacity.

We’re intrigued to find out more about the Oppo F1 Plus camera changes, as the price difference between it and the regular Oppo F1 is quite significant. Are you more likely to buy the Oppo F1 now, or wait and see fuller details about what the Oppo F1 Plus will offer?
