Asus ZenFone Zoom finally launches in the US for $399

#

It’s been a long time coming, but Asus has finally brought it’s camera-centric smartphone to the US. The Asus ZenFone Zoom is now official for consumers in the states, and it’s going to set you back $399 unlocked.

As mobile tech has progressed, we’ve seen a number of manufacturers opt for high-powered snappers on their smartphones. It’s nothing new, and it’s a trend we believe we’ll continue to see for years to come. Asus went camera heavy with the Asus ZenFone Zoom, and we’re here to give you the scoop if you’re looking to pick one up in the US.

The Asus ZenFone Zoom was announced a little over a year ago, but it took a while to hit the streets. That said, it’s still worth a look thanks to a 5.5-inch FHD panel, 2.5GHz Intel Atom Z3590, and 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity is nothing to sneeze at with 64GB, which you’ll appreciated considering high-res photos tend to take up a lot of space.

As its name implies, the Asus ZenFone Zoom is all about the cameras. The rear snapper makes us of a 13MP sensor with 3X Optical Zoom while the front-facing camera is listed at 5MP. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 4G LTE through AT&T or T-Mobile’s network. A large 3,000mAh battery will help to keep the lights on while Android 5.0 runs the show.

As you can tell by the specs, the Asus ZenFone Zoom is still worth your time and is future proof to a degree thanks to the massive amount of RAM. It’s also affordable considering what you’re getting under the hood as it will only set you back $399 unlocked through B&H Photo.
