#

UMi is a smartphone brand that some readers may not have heard of. The Chinese manufacturer launched its UMi Touch phone recently and we then reported on a leak for a Touch X version. Now it has been made official and you can read on for UMi Touch X confirmed specs and more and also pricing.

The UMi Touch X is described as a “toned down” budget alternative of the mid-range UMi Touch, although it still has a nicely sizeable battery. The new phone has the same 100% metal build of the previous Touch, featuring up to 95% CNC Cut aluminum metal and smooth curvature for a comfortable fit in the hand.

As far as specifications are concerned it packs a 1.3GHz MT6735A quad-core processor, Mali T720 graphics, and has a 5.5-inch LTPS display featuring 2.5D arc glass and Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. Further specs of the UMi Touch X include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and the juice should be kept flowing nicely with the 4000 mAh battery. The company claims that this should offer battery life of up to 24 hours for 4G browsing, 60 hours of 2G call time, 92 hours of music playback, or 15 days on standby.

The rear camera is 8-megapixels using a Sony IMX 219 sensor with dual flash, with UMi suggesting that this is actually an improvement on many 13-megapixel cameras. At the front there’s a 2-megapixel unit with LED flash. It’s a dual SIM dual standby handset with 4G LTE connectivity and it has the benefit of running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The phone is 8.5mm thick and now we have news of availability details.

There will be a pre-order sale from tomorrow (April 21) when the UMi Touch X price will be $119.99. After the pre-sale offer expires the phone will be priced at $129.99. Both prices are lower than the tipped price from a previous leak on the device. The handset comes in gray or gold color alternatives, and you can see buying details and further information at the source below.
