Vernee Apollo Lite photos reveal the Design ahead of launch

#

If you’ve followed our site recently, you may have come across an article or two involving Vernee. The company has just unveiled photos of its next handset, the Vernee Apollo Lite, and are set to start accepting pre-orders for the handset soon.

Vernee seemingly came out of nowhere earlier this year with a trio of new handsets. The Apollo is set to be their big flagship, while the Vernee Thor is the company’s mid-ranger which you can read more about in our Vernee Thor review. The Apollo Lite has been a bit of a mystery up until today, but now we’ve got a look at it up close and personal.

Vernee’s photos of the Apollo Lite show a handset with a slim metal shell that features a design familiar to most folks in the smartphone world. It’s a good looking handset, and the specs aren’t bad either considering it’s powered by the Helio X20 and 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The pixels are provided courtesy of a 5.5-inch Sharp IGZO panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1080, otherwise known as FHD.

On the backside of the Vernee Apollo Lite, you’ll find a 16MP Samsung sensor while the front-facing snapper clocks in at 5MP. The connectivity options will include a Fingerprint Scanner, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a Type-C USB port, and Dual SIM cards slots with Dual standby. The Vernee Apollo Lite will draw its power from a 3,180mAh battery with Pump Express 3.0 quick charging, and is listed with Android 6.0… which will be pretty vanilla if it’s anything like the OS on the Thor.

Vernee plans to open up pre-sales for the Vernee Apollo Lite on June 1st, and you should be able to scoop one up through the usual chain of resellers. We don’t have a shipping date just yet, but it’s going to be affordable at $229.99 unlocked.
