Moto Z Play specifications may have leaked through Benchmark listing

#

There are millions of people around the globe waiting on Motorola’s shiny new modular lineup, but the company isn’t quite done yet. The Moto Z Play may have just made an appearance online, and it looks to carry powerful mid-range specs.

Whether you love or loathe Motorola’s new modular approach, the company has certainly gotten some attention with their latest smartphone lineup. While we wait to see how those Moto Mods and their prices pan out, we have another device to look forward to in the Moto Z Play. Nothing is official, but a device believed to be the Z Play has just passed through the benchmark listings as the Motorola XT1635-01.

Geekbench is where you’ll find the Motorola XT1635-01 as a handset sporting that moniker was listed on the site on June 16. According to the listing, the handset will have a Snapdragon 652 clocked at 2.02GHz under the hood and 3GB of RAM. That’s the mid-range class, and while no other specs were given it was tested running Android 6.0.1, which should come as no surprise.

For the moment, the Moto Z Play is still in the rumor phase although we’ve seen plenty of leaks to give us a rough idea of what to expect when if finally arrives. The Geekbench listing is the latest piece of the puzzle, so we’ll keep our ears to the ground for any incoming news on a potential Moto Z Play release date.
