Hyve Pryme gets listed with Helio X20 and Fingerprint Scanner

#

If the name Hyve doesn’t ring a bell, have no fear as Hyve Mobility if fairly new to the scene. The India-based company has unleashed the Hyve Pryme, and it will be one of the more powerful handsets available to consumers in the region.

We’ve said it before and we will say it once more… India is a hotbed for smartphones. We’ve seen several manufacturers appear out of the ether in that region including Hyve. The Hyve Pryme is only the second smartphone from the company to cross our path, and it may not be the last if they keep cranking out handsets with high-end specifications.

The Hyve Pryme is in the flagship class due to the innards although it lacks the QHD panel you’ll find on other smartphones with similar specs. That means you’ll get a 5.7-inch panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Beneath that large slab of glass, you will find a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 clocked at 2.3GHz and backed by 4GB of RAM. This baby should definitely fly and comes with 32GB of storage to hold all your media. It’s expandable up to 200GB as well through the microSD card slot.

We love a smartphone with solid snappers, and that is the term we would use for the sensor setup on the Hyve Pryme. Neither is special, but the 13MP rear camera has a Dual-LED flash and can handle 4K video while the front-facing camera is listed at 8MP and also has a flash. Other features to note include a USB Type-C port, Dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, a Fingerprint Scanner, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The handset sips its power from a 3,500mAh battery and will run Android 6.0 out of the box.

If the Hyve Pryme tickles your fancy, we hope you dig Champagne. That’s the only color the smartphone will be available in when it goes on sale through Amazon.in. Pre-registrations for the handset begin on November 20th with the Hyve Pryme price listed at Rs. 17,999 which is around $270 stateside.
