There is no shortage of odd games in the Play Store but rarely do we see something this unusual from a major player. Horse Adventure Tale of Etria is a new game from Ubisoft that is geared towards horse lovers. By that, we don’t mean folks that like racing or being a knight as this game is all about the horses.

The Horse Adventure Tale of Etria game is about riding your horse through a mystical realm where you’ll take on quests. It doesn’t appear that there is any battling involved, and it is unclear if you can do anything without your horse. It does not appear like it from the screenshots. We aren’t exactly sure what the storyline entails either but the listing does mention a “magical world” and “magnificent settings” so you may encounter a few mythical surprises.

As for the gameplay, aside from riding around in the Horse Adventure Tale of Etria game, you can do some things with your horse. You’ll be able to train them to develop their personality and groom them. There are events you can play against others or you can customize your horses (or hero) with a wide variety of items and options. Needless to say, there sounds like there will be plenty to do and there is a social element involved as well.

It was a slow week for new games, but this one has a strong rating out of the gate. We don’t know if that’s because it’s mind-blowingly fun or if there are just hundreds of thousands of horse lovers out there in need of a new game.
