LG V30 tipped to debut with Dual Cameras and improved Quad-DAC

#

The LG G6 will soon make its official appearance at MWC 2017. We won’t see the LG V30 for quite some time, but a new report suggests it will be a whole lot fancier than the G6 when it lands later this year.

What makes a flagship? That is the question on plenty of folks minds this year. If it’s a QHD panel, plenty of RAM and a metal shell, LG has that covered with the LG G6. It does not have the Snapdragon 835 however, which automatically puts it behind the times out of the gate. We assumed the LG V30 specifications would include that chip although we have a while to wait. Reports from the Far East suggest, the wait may be worth it as that will be their true flagship this year.

From the depths of Weibo comes a report on the LG V30. In a nutshell, this one is tipped to debut with Dual Cameras on both sides and the Snapdragon 835 under the hood. 6GB of RAM were mentioned as well along with improved Quad-DAC. There was no mention of the ticker, but we would assume it will be back as that’s what makes their V-series unique. As for the LG G6 specifications, here is what we know so far…

LG G6 Specifications (Rumored)

  • 5.7-inch display 2,880 x 1,440
  • Snapdragon 821
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 64GB of storage (expandable)
  • Dual Rear camera
  • Water-resistance, Large Battery w/ Heat Pipe tech

While far from confirmed, you can see that the LG G6 is definitely in the flagship class despite the older chip. It will also have a new design with slimmed down bezels and a higher screen-to-body ratio than any other smartphone from the company. In other words, it is a fine handset (on paper) and certainly an option until the LG V30 release date arrives later this year.

Would you rather wait for more power from the LG V30 or will you opt for the G6 this year?
