Swipe Elite 3 set to launch with 2GB of RAM and VoLTE

#

Last week, we told you about a new VoLTE handset from Swipe. The company has just introduced the Swipe Elite 3, which sports the same connectivity options but with considerably more style and power.

Swipe’s Elite series is quite vast. Not as massive as the Galaxy S lineup, but large nonetheless. Thus far, we have seen the Elite Note, Plus, Max and Power in the course of a year. The Swipe Elite 3 falls somewhere in the middle of the pack as it is far from a flagship and not quite the new breed of mid-ranger. That doesn’t mean it isn’t worth a look however, especially considering a few great features.

The Swipe Elite 3 clocks in with a 5-inch IPS panel sporting a resolution of 1,280 x 720. Beneath the glass, you will find a quad-core Spreadrum SC9832 clocked at 1.3GHz and backed by 2GB of RAM. The storage is listed at 16GB but expandable up to 32GB through a microSD card slot. As for the cameras, there is an 8MP sensor on the back with an LED flash to go along with a 5MP front-facing camera. Other options to note include Dual SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The Swipe Elite 3 draws its juice from a 2,500mAh battery and runs Android 6.0 out of the box.

The Swipe Elite 3 price is listed at Rs. 5,499 which is around $82 in U.S. greenbacks. That’s quite cheap, but you aren’t likely to see Android 7.0 and you can get a similar handset with a fingerprint scanner for a few bucks more. As always, it comes down to what you need out of your daily driver. The Swipe Elite 3 will be available through Flipkart tomorrow if you are interested in picking one up.
