Redmi Note 3 or Redmi Note 4, A comparative analysis!

If you have your hands on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 earlier this year you must be aware of how good a smartphone it was. The company made huge profits by selling more than 3.6 million units of the said model. Indeed it can be claimed as the best selling smartphone of 2016 in India. The profit of the company is calculated around $1 billion which is a great number in itself. This would have certainly convinced you to take Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 as the most successful phone of 2016.

Continuing the legacy, the Company came up with the next version of this incredible phone. Though, it was already a daunting task as the expectations of the users were set high by using the impeccable Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. The company launched the successor of the smartphone, Xiamoi Redmi Note 4 last month in India.

What is new?

Being a successor the smartphone came up with some great features as it was expected. Actually, they are some great enhancements of the existing version and not so called changes. Some of them are a better camera quality (both back and front), increased internal storage, a change in design (which is almost negligible) and more RAM.  However, the biggest update was in terms of Chipset than Redmi Note 4 has installed. The Redmi Note 4 comes packed with Snapdragon 625 chipset compared to the Snapdragon 650 SoC that was in Redmi Note 3.

Though, it is being claimed as a downgrade move by the company. But, the move was taken keeping in view better user experience. If you aren’t into extensive graphic oriented gaming, the feature won’t make much of a difference in usage.

The Redmi Note 4 has again come out with cut short in one of the features of Note 3 and is its ability to support the LTE bands.  While Note 3 was compatible with all LTE Bands, the Note 4 will support only 3.5 and 4 Bands. The user-friendliness of this move is still in question.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 or Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 which one you should grab?

We won’t suggest you go for the Latest Redmi Note 4. If you already own the King of the smartphones, Redmi Note 3. The reason being that the Redmi Note 4 do not have any distinct update. As all the changes in this phone are simple refinements of the already existed features of the Redmi Note 3. It is better to stick to your Redmi Note 3 and use its excellence.

The only thing that would make you switch from Redmi Note 3 to Redmi Note 4 is the camera quality the latter version has to offer. This might make a reason for your switch. Still, if the new model makes you much curious to tray it all by yourself, go ahead and buy yourself a good smartphone in a budgeted price.
