Innovative OPPO Find X comes to India with almost no bezels and ‘stealth’ 3D cameras

#

Both Vivo and OPPO have specific and exciting plans to bring their nearly bezelless smartphones to more markets than just their shared homeland, but while the NEX remains without a global launch date and price point, the Find X has been proclaimed “India’s 1st Pop-up Camera” handset earlier today.

Flipkart will exclusively kick off regional pre-orders on July 25, with actual sales scheduled to begin on August 3, and a small fortune charged for the top-of-the-line 256GB configuration with VOOC Flash Charge technology.

Namely, 59,990 rupees, roughly equating to $870, and also including everything from a whopping 8GB RAM to an ultra-high-end Snapdragon 845 processor, relatively hefty 3730mAh battery, and dual AI-enhanced 16 + 20MP rear-facing cameras.

Unfortunately, it seems like you won’t be able to buy a lower-end, lower-cost OPPO Find X variant in India. But some people will agree you can’t really put a price on innovation. And the phone’s “Panoramic Arc Screen” design is certainly unique, reducing bezels to a minimum, and hiding all three cameras in plain sight.

The “stealth” 3D shooters also contain “a number” of groundbreaking technologies, most notably 3D face recognition support similar to what Apple built into the iPhone X last fall, and Samsung is not yet able to rival.

The single 25MP selfie camera is AI-enhanced as well, boasting a “3D lighting technique for artistic portraits”, while the 3D Omoji feature is… clearly not entirely original. But all in all, the 6.4-inch OPPO Find X is designed from the ground up to stand out from the Android flagship pack, and it’s definitely nice to see it released in other key markets besides China.
