Vivo V11 announced!

#

You’ve seen Vivo a lot in the news this year. They’re the first company to implement a fingerprint sensor under the display. With that, they saved up a lot of space to implement new features. The Vivo NEX is also a great device, opting for a retractable front camera that increased the screen-to-body ratio. Now, they’ve released a brand-new midrange device that features the same technology. Named as the Vivo V11, this smartphone is bringing a lot of decent hardware and looks for an affordable price. Let’s see more details about it!

Design

Starting with the design, Vivo definitely didn’t cut any costs down in this department. The V11 offers a lot of design features found on most premium smartphones. Starting with the front, the device features a 6.41” Super AMOLED display. The panel has a resolution of 1080 x 2430 and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There is a notch, and it’s has one of the better shapes, pretty similar to the Oppo R17. And, as we’ve mentioned before, it also has the fingerprint sensor under the display. We’re glad that Vivo is not making this feature exclusive to their premium smartphones. Rotating to the back, you will find the camera setup in the top corner. The Vivo logo sits proudly in the middle. The glass body comes in three different colors: Starry Night, Dazzling Gold and Nebula.

Features

Moving over to the internals, the Vivo V11 is definitely a midrange device. Starting with the chipset, the device is running on the Snapdragon 660 processor. This 2.2GHz octa-core processor will handle most tasks you throw at it without any problems. The Adreno 512 GPU will further help you in that. Furthermore, the device has 6GB of RAM, which should be enough for all of you multitaskers. Speaking of memory, the device comes in 64 or 128GB of internal storage. As a bonus, you can further expand it using a MicroSD card slot. Rounding up the internals, the V11 comes with a 3400mAh battery, which should easily last you through a full day of use.

For the cameras, the V11 features a dual camera setup on the rear and a single shooter on the front. On the back, you have a primary 12MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 5MP shooter with f/2.4 aperture. The secondary shooter is used as a depth sensor, for all of your portrait mode shots. Rotating to the front, the device has a 25MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. This will definitely up your selfie or vlog game. Finishing with the video options, the V11 can shoot up to 2160p at 30fps.

Finally, the Vivo V11 comes with Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box. It’s themed using the company’s own Funtouch OS 4.5 skin. The skin packs a lot of useful features, but it heavily customizes the Android experience, so be warned of that.

Pricing and availability

The Vivo V11 will be available for purchase starting in India and Thailand. More international markets will follow up in the upcoming period. The price should be around 350 euros.
