Facebook chat not working on iPhone, your problems3 Comments | Date: September 22nd, 2009 
Now and then when I go onto Facebook on my iPhone I seem to have problems with the chat not working, cannot understand why this is happening. We all know that things go wrong from time to time and we are not blaming anyone but merely wanting to get to the bottom of the issue as it is a pain in the backside. Right I touch the Facebook app icon on my phone and proceed to login, I then press chat and then press my friends name to start chatting, when I have typed a message it either says “Sending” or it closes the app off altogether. Personally I have never had any troubles with Facebook on my iPhone, please let us know if you have had any problems whatsoever.

Yes, problems started since the last update. It hangs on numerous occasions, crashes back to the spring board, and upon a reload requests the password again. The last update has seriously screwed things up

I am able to send chat messages to friends and when they can see what im saying to them.When they try to send back to me it says alert your message can not be sent at this time. I have restored the settings on my Iphone thinking that would help and it didn’t! Have tried everything I can think of to fix the problem NOTHING is working!
HELP PLEASE!

Yeah i had a same problem,i cannot received message from my friend because they told that my status was offline.what the hell is going on, please fix that prob FB team ! Thanks
