Finally a Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE release date

The HTC EVO 4G LTE has been in the news quite a bit in recent weeks, but unfortunately this hasn’t been for all the right reasons as the device was being held up by US Customs officials preventing it from entering the country, but today we finally have a Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE release date for you.

Just over a week ago it was announced by HTC that the handset had been given the all clear to enter the US, and today according to an article over at GottaBe Mobile the carrier has confirmed that the HTC EVO 4G LTE will release on June 2nd, and be available in stores. The company revealed the news via its official website, and it will be welcomed by customers who had been waiting for the handset that was originally set to launch on May 18th.

The price for the handset remains at the same $199.99 price level with a new two year contract via Sprint, but there is a chance retailers such as Amazon Wireless and Wirefly will offer the device quite a lot cheaper. The handset was held by US Customs for a number of days following a patent dispute with Apple, but consumers that had pre-ordered the handset direct from Sprint saw their device delivered last week.

This is now the carriers third 4G LTE handset joining the LG Viper 4G LTE and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. To recap the smartphone features a 4.7-inch Super LCD screen with 720p HD resolution that is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM.

There is also an eight megapixel camera on the back that uses a dedicated ImageChip and has a physical button for taking shots, 16GB of on board storage, NFC connectivity, and an impressive 2,000 mAh battery, and if you still can’t decide if the handset is for you here is our review roundup.

Will you be picking up the HTC EVO 4G LTE?
