The Gionee S Plus has a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor with Mali-T720MP3 graphics. The Motorola Moto X Play has a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor (four cores at 1.7GHz and four at 1GHz) and Adreno 405 graphics.

Display
The Gionee handset has a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720 resulting in 267 ppi. The Moto X Play has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 401 ppi.

RAM and Storage
The S Plus has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that’s expandable via microSD to 128GB. The Moto X Play has 2GB of RAM and comes in 16GB of 32GB models for internal storage, both expandable with microSD to 128GB.

Camera set-up
The Gionee S Plus has a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p video capture. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. The Moto X Play has a 21-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, and 1080p video capture, and also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Battery
The Gionee S Plus has a 3150 mAh battery while the Moto X Play carries a 3630 mAh battery.

Both phones support 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The Gionee S Plus has USB Type-C while the Moto X Play has microUSB 2.0.

Operating System
The S Plus runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Gionee’s Amigo 3.1 UI. The Moto X Play runs virtually stock Android 5.1.1.

Dimensions and Weight
The Gionee S Plus measures 155mm x 76.4mm x 7.5mm and weighs 158g. The Moto X Play Dual SIM measures 148mm x 75mm x 10.9mm and weighs 169g.

Price
The Gionee S Plus price was confirmed at the launch as Rs. 16,999 and it will go on sale this week. The Moto X Play is already available and launched at Rs. 18,499 for the 16GB version or Rs. 19,999 for the 32B option.
