Hey France! Get Google Nexus 7 September 3rd

If you happen to be one of the Android faithful over in France, and have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Google Nexus 7 tablet to become available for purchase in the country, you might like to know that the release date for the Android Jelly Bean tablet has now been revealed by numerous retailers, and that release date for the Nexus 7 slate in France is the 3rd of next month.

According to a report over on Gadget Venue, initially the 16GB Google Nexus 7 tablet will go on sale in France, and then followed by the 8GB model later on, and various store will offer the Android Jelly Bean tablet to customers including Boulanger, Darty, and Fnac.

It is also expected that the Google Nexus 7 will also launch in other European countries once the tablet is made available in France, and as for the price tag it appears that the Nexus 7 will command a price of 249.99 Euro including sales tax for the 16GB model. However if purchased via Google Play the tablet will still cost the same but you will receive $25 to spend on apps and the like.

For those that might have forgotten, the Google Nexus 7, made by Asus, offers a 7-inch LED backlit IPS touch screen along with a 1.3Ghz quad core Cortex-A9 processor, a 1.2 megapixel rear facing camera, 720p video, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 4325mAh battery, all the usual Google gear and runs Android 4.1.

The Gadget Venue guys recommend the Google Nexus 7 tablet if you want a slate smaller than the Apple iPad or wish to avoid Apple gear, but do say that on the downside there isn’t really a great deal of content such as tablet apps available at the moment, as most of Google Play apps are for smartphones.
