HTC secret Verizon device offers insane hardware

If you are a fan of HTC devices over in the States, you might be interested in this next bit of information, as apparently there is a mystery HTC handset that the word is packs some insane hardware that is apparently destined to play nice on Verizon at some point in the future.

According to the guys over at Phone Arena, by way of Droid-life, this unnamed mystery HTC device with the codename DLX has popped up on GLBenchmark with the model number HTC6435, and would appear to be a follow up to the HTC Rezound.

This mystery HTC device for the Big Red has been clocked at 1.5GHz, although the Droid-life guys say that they feel this mystery device doesn’t sport the standard S4 that a variety of phones have had of late.

Checking the scores this device hits above 100 on the GLBenchmark Egypt Offscreen 720p test, something the guys say they know no other phone to accomplish.

And it doesn’t stop there, as according to the Phone Arena guys the mystery device also has a screen resolution of 1794 x 1080, so we are looking at a 1080p device. However 1080p is 1920 x 1080, but this mystery device is apparently going to be the first HTC handset to sport on-screen buttons, and at 1794 pixels high there would be enough left over to house navigation buttons.

The guys also say that considering the ‘unprecedented performance at unparalleled screen resolution’ it would appear the device has an entirely new chip, perhaps a quad core S4 with Adreno 320 GPU. However the guys have now confirmed that this mystery HTC device actually packs a Qualcomm MSM8960 quad core Snapdragon S4 along with Adreno 320 graphics and World Mode LTE/HSPA+ radio.

The guys also say they believe that this HTC device isn’t a 4.3-inch screen device but rather a 4.6 or 4.8-inch or possibly a 5-inch+ device. Interesting to say the least, so we will naturally keep our readers informed on this mystery device as and when we hear more. Could this mystery HTC device turn out to be an iPhone 5 killer?

The IPhone 5 is dead before it’s official release. Guys, please stop compaing everything to the cliche Apple IPhone, it is no longer the trendsetter it was say, from 3 years ago. It’s like reading T3 Magazine sometimes, always a reference to Apple when you should be referring to the GS3 when using compairson terms from this phone. The IPhone 5 will be just a stale recycled product with only the badge to lure naive people in.

Please let the rumors be true!  Ready for a new phone, but not interested in a GSIII, Nexus, or Razr.  Wanted a Note or a One X… so hopefully this will fill that slot (or both slots) on Verizon.
