#

When Android first started becoming popular, Samsung, HTC, Motorola, and Sony were the names to watch for the most part. They still are, but companies like Huawei are making a dent due to low priced devices and top-tier specs. Today Huawei unveiled its latest handset, and we learned the Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition specs and price.

The Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition specs show a flagship can go toe-to-toe with anything out there in terms of specs. The handset will pack a 2.0GHz octa-core Kirin 928 over the 920 found in the regular edition, it’s faster, and it should absolutely fly with 3GB of RAM Huawei dropped in. A Mali T628MP4 will handle the graphics, and you’ll get 32GB of internal storage that can be kicked up to 128GB via the microSD slot.

While the Honor 6 Extreme Edition has plenty of horsepower, the “extras” aren’t half bad either. It sports a 13MP/5MP camera combo, and the Kirin 928 SoC allows for LTE-A Cat. 6 which means you can get up to 300Mbps on downloads if you live in an area has it. The rest of the Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition specs include a 5-inch 1080p display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, MHL, a 3,100mAh battery, and Android KitKat 4.4.

The Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition specs are quite nice, but so is the price as it’s expected to cost 2,999 yuan which is around $489 bucks. The company will also offer up some “extreme” accessories for the device as well including a tempered glass screen protector, NFC tags, and headphones.

What do you think about the Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition’s specs and price tag?
