Hyve Pryme to Land in India on November 20th

#

The new Hyve Pryme will become available in India on November 20th via Amazon, carrying a price tag of Rs. 17999, which translates roughly into $266. That’s a great price for a 5.7 inches wide smartphone running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, even if it comes from a very obscure manufacturer. The Hyve Pryme is manufactured by Hyve Mobility and it’s built and designed with emerging markets in mind, of which India is maybe the largest in the world.

Now, if you’re wondering what you’ll be getting for $266, well, the answer is: a LOT of smartphone. To begin with, the Hyve Pryme comes with dual SIM capability and it looks gorgeous, boasting a full-metal jacket body in a golden hue. The screen real estate is almost in phablet-territory, standing at 5.7 inches and it offers full HD 1080p resolution. Running the show is a powerful deca-core chip-set architecture, a MediaTek Helio X20. Deca core means 10 CPUs, clocked at 2.3 GHz, meaning that the Hyve Pryme offers quite a punch, especially considering the fact that it runs on a relatively “dated” OS, which doesn’t put too much stress on the hardware. The amount of RAM on board is also extremely generous, standing at 4 GB, whilst the native storage capacity is 32 gigabytes.

If that’s not enough, rest assured, as the Hyve Pryme comes with a micro SD card expansion slot, which means that you may add up to 200 GB of extra storage if required. The main camera is a 13 MP variety with a dual LED flash, whilst the front-facing secondary snapper has an 8 MP sensor, and check this out: the selfie unit comes with its own LED flash. The battery is a beefy 3500 mAh power plant and obviously supports fast charging. If you’re into bio-metrics, you’ll appreciate the finger print scanner on the back panel, which can be used to call someone instantly by assigning your finger-print to the respective contact.
