Intex is a prolific provider of new smartphones in India and another device has just been unveiled in the Aqua series. Some may be aware of its predecessor, the Intex Aqua Amaze. Now the Intex Aqua Amaze+ brings VoLTE support at a budget price. The new Intex smartphone will be available at both offline and online stores across the country.

The smartphone arena in India is thriving at the moment with new devices appearing almost daily. Intex appears to be on a mission to provide new 4G smartphones at competitive prices. For example, launches in recent weeks have included the Intex Cloud Q11 4G, Intex Cloud Style 4G, and Intex Aqua Classic 2. Beginning with the important pricing news the Intex Aqua Amaze+ price is Rs. 6,290. The phone will be offered in three colour choices, black, blue, and grey.

Intex Aqua Amaze+ specs include a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC9832A quad-core processor with Mali 400 graphics. It has a 4.7-inch display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720 resulting in 312 ppi. There’s 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card to 32GB. On the back it has a 5-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, while the front-facing camera also has a 5-megapixel sensor.

The new dual SIM smartphone has a 2000 mAh battery to keep the lights on and it’s claimed that this offers up to 200 hours on standby with 2G. The phone supports 4G VoLTE along with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, EDGE, GPRS, GPS, A-GPS, and microUSB. It will come running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and could receive an update at some point.
