iOS 4.2 Apps Call to Developers by Apple

Apple recently released the iOS 4.2 Gold Master version to iPhone developers, and has now sent out emails to those developers to begin submitting their new iOS 4.2 applications for approval.

According to an article over on Softpedia by Filip Truta, the Apple iOS Developer centre new section has updated to show confirmation that coding tools for iOS 4.2 are waiting for developers to begin making their iOS 4.2 apps.

Apple’s official statement is…”Submit Your iOS 4.2 Apps Today.

iOS 4.2 SDK GM seed and iOS 4.2 GM seed are now available from the iOS Dev Center. Build, test, and compile your apps with these new releases and submit them for review so they can be ready when iOS 4.2 is available to iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch users.

Learn how you can add exciting iOS 4.2 features to your apps including the capability to print directly from iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. iPad apps can now take advantage of multitasking, Game Center, iAd, and more.”

iOS 4.2 when it arrives will mostly target the iPad but will also support the iPhone and iPod Touch, and apparently according to an Apple Insider report iOS 4.2 Gold Master brings the addition of an Airplay button in the multitasking bar, the option to access MobileMe with an Apple ID and the addition of volume controls and also fixes a widely reported bug that bypasses the security code on the iPhone.
