iOS 7.1 battery life, possible quick fix offered

#

It is not unusual with new firmware released for our smartphones for problems to emerge that don’t even affect all users of the same device. A few days ago Apple released iOS 7.1 to the public and we now have a possible quick fix for the battery life problems some owners are experiencing.

Shortly after iOS 7.1 became available some users reported some issues that eventually included poor battery life for some iOS devices. Now until Apple releases iOS 7.1.1 to end users those that are affected with the issue will have to make do with the problem.

The guys over at GottaBe Mobile have a couple of quick solutions that may help to improve things a little, and the first solution is to use the Reset All Settings option. This is done by hitting the Settings Option > General before scrolling down to hit Reset.

You may get asked to enter your passcode before the handset will reboot and clear all settings without erasing your content. If this still doesn’t fix things you could try a full reset and setting the device up as a new product without restoring from a backup.

Obviously this will wipe everything from your handset so a full back up will be needed first, but this process can be time consuming and not always advised.

Have you already tried this and still been met with problems? Or have tried something else that has worked?

I was terribly disappointed when i updated my iphone 4 from ios 6 to ios 7 because of its laggard animation and poor performance. Earlier this week when ios 7.1 was launched I laid back for a couple of days to check out its reviews, which turned out to be pretty good. So, I finally updated my laggy phone to ios 7.1 n i must say apple’s done a great work with ios 7.1, at least for its older phones. Although, I’m quite gratified by its performance considering its processor and hardware, I wish apple could have done a little more to boost its performance like iphone 4s which is an old phone as well. However, this update is gonna help me cling to my old phone for some more time before I consider replacing it.

Therefore, those who have ios 7.0.6 in their iphone 4(or any other for that matter) should definitely consider updating to ios 7.1

Couldnt agree more, although we will lose our jailbreak Apple has done a great job in ios 7.1 for iphone as well as the battery 7 hours of usage and have 63% yet to use

It’s totally unacceptable that yet again ,in an update, more problems are created then fixed .Thats just pathetic ..and to add insult to injury the only offer of any kind if short term remedy is to reset??? Apple as a class company died when Steve Jobs did!
