As you are all aware iOS 4.2 is coming to the Apple iPad this month and is going to be fantastic to see new features, apparently this firmware will be the best ever that should excite a few folk.

There will be many new features coming to the iPad like AirPlay, AirPrint, AVRCP Audio/Video Remote Control Protocol for stereo Bluetooth, multitasking and folders, plus more control inside Settings for Spotlight, local notifications so something like an alarm-clock app could register an alert that would sit in the iPhone in the background until the proper time, then activate, API for task completion, new carousel-like animation for apps, new widgets, Background music, location, and VoIP, Change fonts within notes, Maps gets a minor tweak, Video gets updated, minor update to YouTube, iTunes Store update, TV show rentals, iAds, Brightness & Wallpaper update, Passcode lock update, Turn spell check off, Game Center, Safari update and iPad Mail gets a unified inbox, Photos section gets updated.

iOS 4.2 is a free update currently in Gold Master (GM) for final testing, this new update should be released this week if all goes according to plan and nothing major crops up.
