iPhone 3GS Purplera1n Jailbreak released by original iPhone hacker

George Hotz is the teenage hacker who unlocked the original iPhone, and he is now claiming he has created an application that can jailbreak the new iPhone 3GS reports an article on venturebeat.

The new iPhone 3GS jailbreak app is called purplera1n and apparently can install 3rd party software even without Apple’s approval.

Holtz released the purplera1n software on Friday which works with Windows computers along with the latest iTunes and an iPhone 3GS running iPhone OS 3.0, and he has also released a version for Mac computers as well.
