If you are going to have a battle between smartphones then why not do so in style, Star Wars style that is and have the iconic iPhone do battle with BlackBerry in a light sabre fight to end all fights.

And that’s exactly what we have for your viewing pleasure below, a Star Wars iPhone verses BlackBerry battle using light sabres. This amusing video comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Daily iPhone Blog and delivers 2 minutes of fun iPhone and BlackBerry fighting.

The short 3D animation was make by Vimeo user Cyrus Mir who animated the piece during their spare time by using Maya and Post effects were added in After Effects.

Putting all that aside it’s just hilarious to watch the iPhone and BlackBerry going at it like Darth Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi, and I just love how the iPhone throws the Palm at the defeated RIM smartphone, it’s just a shame there’s no sound effects to go along with it.
