iPhone Google Mobile App Updated and Renamed

The Google guys have been playing about with the Google Mobile App for the iPhone and iPod Touch and have now updated the app along with giving it a new handle and will henceforth be know as the Google Search app for iOS devices.

According to an article over on 9to5 Mac and by way of the official Google Blog, apparently there are numerous new ways of interacting with the updated app such as when you are browsing search results or hunting a web page, the user can now swipe down to view the search bar or change settings.

Also if you use other Google apps on your iPhone or iPod Touch an “App button” can now be located at the bottom of the display to deliver quick access to the mobile versions of Google apps.
