LG Optimus 7 Windows Phone Handled on Videos

We gain a closer look at one of the Windows Phone 7 line up today in the form of the LG Optimus 7 which is destined for numerous carriers in Asia, Canada, Europe and Mexico but not apparently destined for the United States.

The two LG Optimus 7 hands-on videos come our way courtesy of Kelly Hodgkins over at Intomobile and combined delivers just over fifteen minutes of getting up close and personal with LG’s Windows Phone 7 device.

Spec wise the LG Optimus 7 is quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900, tri-band HSDPA/HSUPA 900/1900/2100 with a 1GHz processor, 3.8 inch WVGA touch screen, 5 megapixel camera with 720p video and LED flash, 16GB internal memory, WiFI, Bluetooth2.1+EDR and A2DP.

Kelly has some pros and cons with the LG Optimus 7, the pros being the device feels solid and balanced, delivers a smooth responsive performance, tactile front buttons easy to navigate, intelligent shot and camera panorama mode are fun while the Windows Phone experience is added to by the inclusion of both ScanSearch augmented reality and Play to Media playback apps.

As for those cons, camera performance isn’t very outstanding but adequate, tactile buttons feel plastic, no expandable storage, WP7 has limitations that take away from the overall experience, and the slanted top of the device makes it difficult to press the power button and hold in one hand.

So, all that remains is for you to punch those play buttons, check out Kelly’s hands-on with the LG Optimus 7 and feel free to drop us a comment on your thoughts…enjoy.

After playing with WP7 devices for the last 2 day I would def recommend them. One of the issues I have identified with LG Optimus 7 is that the bluetooth doesnot work! So not good to pair with handfree in the car. This came as a bummer as I am with Vodafone and I took Optimus 7 on a contract. After replacing 3 LGs and a number of calls to Vodafone and LG customer service I finally ended up with HTC Trophy which is nothing but excellent!
