MWC 2011 Prompts HTC Desire HD Price Cut

MCC 2011 (Mobile World Congress) starts soon and it seems HTC might have a few surprises on board and maybe this is why we are seeing the HTC Desire HD price cut.

Many retailers such as Amazon UK and Handtec are slashing prices of the HTC Desire HD smartphone, Amazon is selling the handset for £390 and Handtec have the HTC Desire for (Not HD) but still cheap £335.99, both handsets are SIM Free/Unlocked.

The HTC Desire HD was all the talk not so long ago with is features such as Dolby Mobile, 1.5GB onboard storage, 4.3-inch WVGA display, 8GB microSD card provided, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, SRS virtual surround, 768MB RAM, Adreno 205 GPU, HTC Sense UI, Android 2.2, Wi-Fi and 8-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording.

So what is HTC up to, will they bring us a special surprise at MWC 2011 in Barcelona? Will the HTC Desire HD slowly fade away into the darkness never to be sold again?

Please let us know what you think, will you still buy the HTC Desire HD or will you wait for the event to kick of and see what is announced?
