MWC 2011 Video: Samsung Galaxy S 2 Hands on
We all knew it would be coming, and the device has been leaked all over the show, and now Samsung has now gone all official with the next generation Samsung Galaxy S smartphone the aptly named although unoriginal, Samsung Galaxy S 2.
And w have a little hands-on video footage of the Samsung Galaxy S 2 smartphone for your viewing pleasure courtesy of the guys over at Engadget who managed to grab a little playtime with the handset at Mobile World Congress 2011.
You are probably already aware of the specs for the handset, but they have now been confirmed as a 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, TouchWiz 4.0 UI, an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video and a 2 megapixel front facing snapper, 1GB RAM,and apparently the handset comes sporting a Samsung 1HGz processor and not an NVIDIA Tegra 2.
Release wise apparently the Samsung Galaxy S 2 will hit European and Asian markets possible this month although currently there’s no word on if or when North America will see release of the device.

As a Vibrant owner I report that here is what one person did. I SOLD MY VIBRANT!
But not because of a negative experience, I sold it so I could get one of the dual-core phones debuting, but most likely to get the S2.
The Vibrant (an Samsung Galaxy S phone) was probably the best phone I have ever owned, and that's saying a lot considering I have had maybe 300 phones over time and can get any phone I want.
So I am really looking forward to getting an S2. My 4" SAMOLED display was fantastic, so getting such quality on a 4.3" display, that's so much pleasure I have to lay back and have a smoke after using it, and I don't even smoke.
I also like the longer battery life, 4G (in my town we get 4G on T-Mobile) and that the super thin phone is a mere 4 ounces.
Hopefully this will go to T-Mobile, the same as the Samsung Galaxy S went to all carriers. To tide me over I fired up my HTC HD2, that has a 4.3" display, by the way. So I can get used to that form factor, all over again.
