New 32GB Google Nexus 7 at Office Depot, 16GB also

Over the last few weeks we have heard of numerous leaks and actual hardware being out in the wild, which have almost confirmed that Google would be releasing a new 32GB version of the popular Nexus 7. The company hasn’t exactly been able to keep the upcoming device secret, and now the new 32GB Google Nexus 7 has appeared at the Office Depot with the 16GB version also seeing a price cut.

Until it was cancelled, Google would have been unveiling the device at its event in New York, but in the meantime as Cnet are reporting it seems all the recent rumours of a 32GB variant of the Nexus 7 are closer to becoming a reality. We have had reports before that UK retailers were slashing the price of the 16GB model, and now in the US the Office Depot has lowered the price as well to $199.99.

The retailer’s website though currently has both the 8GB and 16GB not available, but over at rival GameStop they have the 16GB version available for $199.99, and Droid Life are reporting the 32GB model is going to be available for only $249 from the Office Depot.

This comes after late last week the 32GB model was put up on a Latvian website with the device up for around £249/$400 with a shipping date of November 12th. Obviously this is a cheaper price than first thought but European pricing is often affected by local taxes and import duties pushing prices up more.

We also heard about the 8GB Nexus 7 had disappeared off the Google Play Store that was another pointer a new model was inbound. If the pricing for the 32GB Nexus 7 is accurate it will turn the heat on the recently released Apple iPad mini that starts at a higher price.

This is coupled with the Amazon Kindle Fire HD that is also priced cheaper than Apple’s offering, but this gives consumers a great choice when looking to pick up a new smaller sized tablet this side of Christmas.

Are you going to get the 32GB Nexus 7?

If it’s just increased memory the new Nexus 7 32gb has to offer, I think I’ll just get the 16gb Nexus 7 when the price drops.
Anyone know of what more the 32gb has to offer other than extra memory!?
