RIM Pay $267.5 million to Visto in Settlement

According to an article on WSJ, BlackBerry smartphone maker Research In Motion has ended the long-term dispute with Visto Corps.

The word is RIM forked over some $267.5 million to Visto Corps to settle the dispute, which is somewhat larger, an amount than the $7.7 million Visto received from Seven networks.

For RIM’s $267.5 million they now receive a fully paid licence to use Visto patents along with some of their intellectual property by way of transferred ownership. So now the RIM Visto battle is done and dusted who is next to take a slice out of RIM?
