Well let’s face it, it was bound to happen sooner or later and I’m quite surprised its actually taken this long as the Palm Pre is just about past its days and word is the webOS smartphone is heading for the mobile graveyard on Sprint.

According to an article over on Engadget by Ross Miller, and by way of Pre Central, Sprint is consigning the Palm comeback handset, the Palm Pre to the end of life bin and apparently warehouse stock of the device is limited.

Not a great deal else to be said other than well the Palm Pre didn’t become the Palm saviour it was expected to be otherwise Palm wouldn’t now be in the hands of HP and would have pushed out the new Palm Pre 2 by themselves.

So if there is actually anyone out there that wants a Palm Pre probably your best bet of sourcing one is eBay or Craigslist, or of course you could just opt to pick up the Palm Pre 2.
