If you hear the name TCL out of the blue, you probably wouldn’t recognize the brand. But when it’s Alcatel, you’ll be on familiar ground. TCL is the company that owns Alcatel and they’ll be allegedly making Blackberry’s flagships that are expected to come out soon. Today, the TCL 950 was unveiled by the company and there are rumors that the Blackberry DTEK60 will be a rebranded version of the TCL 950.

The TCL 950 looks nothing short of amazing. It is just 7mm in thickness but also has a 3,000mAh battery supporting Quick Charge 3.0. The 5.5-inch display is an AMOLED panel that comes with a full HD resolution. The phone is surrounded by an aluminum frame and has 2.5D glass as well.

Under the hood is the Snapdragon 820 along with the standard 4 gigabytes of RAM. There’s a massive 64GB of internal storage and you also get a microSD slot, which is a hybrid slot. The other selling point of the TCL 950 is the front facing stereo speakers which is a welcome addition.

The rear camera uses the IMX230 sensor from Sony. It is a 21MP shooter with an f2.2 aperture. The front camera is equally impressive and is an 8MP shooter with an f2.2 aperture as well. There is a fingerprint scanner right under the camera.

The phone is available in 2 colors, silver and gold. The availability is still unknown. It would definitely be a great sight to see the Blackberry DTEK60 and compare it with the TCL 950. There is a multi-function key on the TCL 950 which can be customized with single and double presses. This reminds us of the Blackberry trackpad seen on the older devices which can be used to swipe through the menu and make selections. Go check out this amazing device from TCL!
