Vodafone offers Galaxy Tab 10.1 first in Australia

Although most of the globe has been able to get hold of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 because of Apple those down under in Australia haven’t been able to purchase the Android slate for quite some time due to Apple saying Samsung infringes on their patents, which has held up the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia.

However, according to an article over on Sfgate, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 can now be pre-ordered in Australia with Vodafone being the first Australian carrier to offer the Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet.

Apparently according to a recent Galaxy survey by Vodafone tablets are expected to be the hottest Xmas present this year with 1-in-3 Australians hoping for a tablet and surpassing such stuff as entertainment, travel, jewellery and clothes.

The general manager of devices and pricing for Vodafone au, Ross Parker has said that some things are worth waiting for and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 doesn’t disappoint and is the lightest and thinnest slate on the market and works with Vodafone’s new 850MHz network.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet is available from Vodafone Australia on both 12 and 24-month plans, and starting at just $39 per month on a two-year contract including 1.5GB of data and a plan monthly cost of $15.

So there you have it, if you live in Australia you can now purchase the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 by hitting up Vodafone au online.
